Tester interview questions and answers are completely based on the interview I and my friends attended during last years of working experience as Quality Assurance Testers. These SQA questions and scenarios are based only on real experience and were asked during actual QA interviews. Therefore, QA Tester who is looking for a Quality Assurance job will greatly benefit from this. If you are the first time job seeker as a QA Tester, then it can help you even better. Finally, if you are plant to attend an interview, you have to know these questions and answers by heart and must be very smooth in answering these questions. Practice in front of the friends or just a mirror, speak loud and clear. Most of the time, when you study the questions, you feel fine and feel relaxed, but the reality is, at the time of the actual interview, even though you feel you have the knowledge, cannot express it well. It may sound a little rough, but this is everyone’s hard experience. When you come out the interview door, you are deeply regretted. If you cannot remember these by heart, believe me, it may not work. Readers are welcome to post own questions and answers to the following SQA interview questions.

Quality Assurance and Software Testing Certification

Software QA certification. Is it worth it? How much stock do you invest into a certified QA Tester? Would you hire QA Engineer with HP Quality center certification over another individual just because of the certification? Does QA certification actually identify any qualities of a software tester that Test Manager would be looking for?

I personally do not believe any QA manager would hire one tester over another just because s/he has a certification. The certification is much less important than actual testing experience. It’s also very easy for an experienced interviewer to weed out the testers who cleared certifications merely by memorizing the certifications dumps. My personal advice is to go for QA certification as long as you are able to display proficiency in all the topics covered in the certification exam. In the same time any certification certainly looks good in testers resume and assures the interviewer of tester capability and may proof the work experience. A certification may help get you the interview, but it won't help you keep your job even if you get it. However, if you don't have any testing experience at all, getting certified at least shows you have determination.

Software Quality Assurance Tester should not concentrate only on QA certification and QA training. There are plenty other certifications suitable for white box testers, for example MCSA or MCSE certifications from Microsoft or Oracle Certified Professional will definitely raise your resume chances. This certifications are helping tool to tell the employers that QA Tester has the fundamental knowledge of the particular technology and distinguishes you from others who doesn't have these certifications.
